The King and I Thai Food
We went to The King and I with a group of 10 last night for a nice dinner. I have never been so impressed! That is by far the classiest "Oriental" restaurant that I have ever been too. The service was world class, we had each dish explained too us and she offered suggestions on how to get the most for our tastes. I expected to go in and end up paying $50.00 for a nice dinner but I was shocked when it was only $35.00 for two people too get everything we wanted!!!!! I might suggest you try the Yellow Curry, its AMAZING! Also something that is not on the menu but they offered to make it for a picky child in our group, Orange Chicken. It was the BEST Orange Chicken I have ever had!

you're right
I completely agree that The King And I is the best Thai food I've tried, and I've tried a lot of places.

New Owners....this place SUCKS
Several months ago I posted a review for this restaurant. At that time the food and service was amazing.
Recently however, they changed owners, I know this because there is a framed photo of the "new owners" at the front door. The restaurant has suffered horribly at the hands of these clowns. Last night my wife and I took a friend out to dinner at The King and I...we nearly walked out, I have never been so embarrassed after raving about this place in the past!
Our server, who also happened to be the new owner was wearing dirty spandex pants that where less than flattering and monkey pajama slippers, quite a change from the old uniforms that the wait staff wore in the past.
We where seated nearly immediately after arriving and our drink orders where taken, we ordered water and hot tea. After 30 minutes of waiting we where just about to get up and leave when the drinks arrived. This was just the start of a horrible experience.
Our meal took nearly another hour too arrive and was stone cold by the time it arrived. The quality and taste of the food seems to have dropped substantially, but that could also have been due to the temperature.
We also noticed that in the nearly two hours we where there, they bussed no tables. When we left there where a total of 5 tables full of dirty dishes. The owner seemed more interested in running financial reports after each guest paid the bill and left than cleaning up and getting ready for more customers.
Needless to say that will be the last time we go to The King and I. Its a good thing we bought the cook book a few months ago, I fear that at the hands of the new owners that restaurant wont be open for long.
